 eye when it is full. While poetry may have no measures, you must not step into the depths of


 every poem. If you get too deep, you must watch very carefully where you dive. You cannot


 control the poet's chosen current. You must be careful. If it is past midnight when you read


 this note, you may not read poetry for the rest of the day.
