Breaking the Law SAFELY ( Goliath is re-posting this here in honor of the fella that fixed my flat bike tire today) ENJOY!!!
When Goliath was just a sprout, we had a rule out at the old dusty camp...All people what is
driving oxens or riding in chariots or carts is Required to STOP and let wimmens and chilerns get out of the way if you come upon them in the road. That meant if you is driving your ox cart and
some little heathern chilrens is having mudball fight in middle of dusty path...you is required to
stop the oxen and not run them over. This here a simple rule and for most part work quite well.
EXCEPT...(and this the good part) the little gang of heatherns what Goliath grew up with as a chile was vile, obnoxious, troublemaking punk like guttersnipes. Onct Goliaths' little gang learn of this here rule we was all over taking full and unfair advantage of same. So you bet if we see Old Anwar-Waddy driving his poor old Oxen down the oxcart path by the camp you can bet Goliath and his little gang rush down to the road to set up a game of tiddle winks right there
and make old Anwar wait until we was all good and ready to get out of his way. this seem like great fun and very satersfying exercise of personal power we chilerns could exert over the grown ups what always Lord it over us all other times!
Well one day Goliath's Uncle Simacar find out what Lil' Goliath is doing and he take me out behind the family hut and whip Goliath's butt. "But Waaahhh!" Goliath Cry out! "The law say we has a right to be in
that road and all and many what come that way must yield unto us!!!"
Uncle Simicar have no mercy on little Goliath. And him proceed to give Goliath the following lesson what
Goliath has done learn very well. "Goliath, you ignorant half breed yelp! Doest thou not know that Old Anwar only gonna take so much of you heathern chilren goading his ox! He gonna run right over you one of
these days!"
"But that agin the Kings Law!" Goliath say.
"Yes, that right Goliath. And as we set your crushed and broken body up on the old funeral pyre and set
fire to it .... as it burn away all earthly remains of YOU...I will be sure to tell all and many that YOU WERE IN THE RIGHT!"

So, Goliath learn very young how most important thing not always 'being right'. Or 'being legal". Most important is to be ALIVE. NOw Goliath on a warm Spring day such as today, him like to take the occassional bike ride. That right! Goliath love to ride the old bicycle!! (Ever since 1880 Goliath had a bike)
All true warriors savor the sense of speed, grace and power what come only from a bike.
So just today, Old Goliath get out the old Bike, pump up tires, grease the gears up good and head out. Now Goliath not one of these here that feel big need to put on all fancy pants racing attire as if Goliath in some race with Lance Armstrong or something.

Anyways, as Goliath huff and puff along, Goliath ride always on the sidewalks and on the curb of road and
out of traffic. Goliath know very well this sometime illegal. But as cars wizz by , with half of them drivens by
wimmens what is talking on cell phones and such...Goliath just as soon not never be on road way with them.
And, in fact, in many and many a year, Goliath ain't never had no body complain about riding on the sidewalks. Of course, Goliath always courtesous and not rush by pedestrians or knock over baby carriages
too much or splatter water from puddles on white dresses of church ladies. Goliath not looking for trouble on
these here rides. (Just adventures).
Meanwhile, Very very often Goliath notice his fellow bicyclists wizzing along on the main roads and Goliath
feel so very sorry for them. They apparently never had an Uncle Simicar. They insists on riding right in the
road and backing up traffic what is waiting for good place to go around them. Goliath even note this phenomena even when they has plenty of shoulder to pull over to and let cars ride around. Here a good article by somebody that just KNOWS that all you autodrivers need to

sure to tell all and many "You know...Dave was in the right just before he got killed".
Ok...so, if you is a biker and you want to be so proud and high and might and make all them cars wait on
you while it even so very obvious all the room you got to get over and let pass...just because "You got just as much right to use this road as any Hummvee" and all, Just remember to have your family know to call old
Goliath cause Goliath WILL come to your funeral if you wants him to and tell them ALL. YOU WAS PERFECTLY WITHIN YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS!!!
