The Dalai Lemme Speaks A PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE COUNTY PLAN TO CUT HEALTH INSURANCE FOR EMPLOYEES

I was grieved today to see so many Clark County employees sincerely worried and afraid that they would be unable to support their families. I saw a single mother of 3 with tears in her eyes after she read the letter from the Clark County Commissioners which most deliberately invited the mistaken belief that these employees and their children would lose their health insurance this year. One at a time the Dalai Lemme explained to one anguished soul after another that the letter, which was multi-layered bullshit, could be nothing more than a political stunt.

You see the letter really didn't say anything. Money won't be paid, if there is no money to pay and we have asked someonne to look into it. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing. But it will make a young mother cry and roll at least one camera truck. It is the Dalai Lemme's opinion that the Commissioners should be required to personally reimburse the taxpayers for the cost of printing this political flyer.

It might even pack a meeting and create additional press opportunities. But, this scheme must be laid bare. The Dalai Lemme's people must not live in fear. There is no peace in fear. The letter was the hieght of douchebaggery. It planted the seeds of falsehood and panic. This is the behavior of bullies. It is despicable. It is immoral. It is an abuse of position. Homes were disrupted today.

The only thing douchier than signing the letter, would be signing the letter, and then going on television and condemning the letter. That is exactly what Mike Moore did on WHAS. The Dalai Lemme almost puked to hear it. I don't know Mike Moore, but I do know bullshit when I hear it. To claim that signing and distributing the letter was using the employees as political "pawns" was entirely accurate. For Mike Moore to say it on WHAS after HE SIGNED IT leaves one to marvel at how the Commissioner is able to put on his pants...with nuts that big. Unbelievable. In closing, those who signed that letter-you hurt people that I care about today. For this I say, "Suck it." If you signed it and condemned it's signing, your Dali Lemme says "Suck it twice."

But Dalai Lemme, WHAS said no county employees would speak. WHAS said they were afraid. "These employees did not go speak to news crews while they were at work. But, yes they may have been afraid."

"But Dalai Lemme, aren't you afraid of reprisals, of being fired?" To this the Dalai Lemme replied "These are my people. I must speak. Suck it."

The tyrants that are responsible for this should be charged with the same offense someone is charged with for screaming "FIRE" in a crowded shopping mall. "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS"

Woo hoo! Amber Shaw on Goliath! Welcome Amber...hope you hang around some more!

Moore made the motion at the April 28 commissioners meeting to send the letter.

Dude,
Clark County government is totally mismanaged and is WAY beyond broke.
Their credit rating has already been reduced.

SPENDING
at all levels of government- federal, state, and local-
is seriously unsustainable.

If a person were so inclined, one could spend a few days reading and watching the financial press reports, which will give mounds of data and accurate reports.

The dufus and irresponsible idea of Clark County government floating
a short term bond issue
to get through only one year is insane.

Lately, the more responsible/intelligent
Liberals at NPR have begun discussing and exposing the YEARS of excessive spending.

Even they now now what is coming.
Defaults.
Cutbacks.
Layoffs.
Permanent reuctions in personnel.
Pension reductions.
Delay/cancelation of public works projects.
Serious reductions in contributions
by the taxpayers
to the excessive pension and medical-dental schemes.
Less government spending.

Sad Draino! :(

Monty Snelling
was part of the problem

and the voters subsequently ELECTED
him county auditor!

BRILLIANT!

Jeffersonville City Councilman Keith Fetz
proposed over a year and half ago to form a group
to look into the
looming spending disaster
coming for governmental units in Clark County.

He wanted to find solutions.

Councilman Fetz
had a meeting with
the "PRESS WIZARDS"
at The Evening News
to discuss ideas for solutions.

The
"PRESS WIZARDS"
INSTEAD BELITTLED THE COUNCILMAN AND REFUSED TO LOOK INTO POTENTIAL SOLUTIONS.

Councilman Fetz
duly noted their lack of concern, and then quoted
Dr. Hunter S. Thompson
to the the E-N "journalists".

Now, even
the "press wizards'
at the Evening News
are seeing the "spending bats" flying out of the sun at them. Soon enough.

I'll follow suit....

It may be sucked.

That is all.

I second the post, as aerial I am totally shocked by the insensitivity and the disrespect shown to the county employees. Elected officials have other means of earning money, employees don't. I can't imagine how diabetics, people with asthma, heart conditions, or those with sick children are feeling. Somebody needs to feel the fear they caused just once.

You should go to the county commissioners meeting and address this very issue on Thursday.

As long as Joe Renck is still getting paid you know the county isn't really in money trouble.

Yes, it is IS
a REAL financial crisis.
It is just starting, not ending with this spending problem.

Remember what Greg Fifer said about the county possibly having to shut it's doors by August 1st.
No one is listening,
just complaining.

A REAL storm may be coming!
The chickens are coming home to roost!

The county may not JUST only reduce or eliminate
"public funded insurance expenses".
There could be a lot more pain.........

Then, we get to do it all over again NEXT year!

Taxes and more taxation. More spending.

Internationally,
the worst case senerio is that possibly
the Euro
will disintigrate,
then the Yankee dollar will come under really intense pressure.
The Yankee dollar could fail and we might default.

Chaos. Mob rule.

The current UNFUNDED liability
of all governmental units
in the USA is estimated
at $126 TRILLION dollars!

It is also still growing.

It can never be met. It can never be paid for.

Sad Draino!

Greed and stupidity rule. The "entitlement" mentality.
There is ittle general knowledge of economics or spending restraint.

Good thing Brother Goliath

and raises his own chickens, a.k.a. food source!

Maybe MM signed the letter when he thought he was a democrat, when he thought the letter said something else.

I'm still curious about why the Amber Shaw government pay questions were removed, and what the answer to those questions are?

Also, do some people not realize that if a popular candidate decides to leave the party for ethical and philosophical reasons that he will be politically punished? Really?, I mean, really?
Anonymous said…
Ok, Ok, Ok.........

Ponder this please!

A perpetual political candidate
runs for one office
then switches to run for yet another office.

The perpetual political candidate jumps from one race to another, then one party to another.
And back again.

The perpetual
political candidate
leaves one party
for "ethical and philosophical reasons".
And then switches back.
Again.
Ethical and philosophical?
Allegedly?

So, just which SWITCH was "ethical and/or phiosophical"?

Good point.
Where DID that comment
on two salaries
from two counties go?

Sort of a CCC moment?

Yeah, let's see.
The attorney whose name was "sanitized"
from this discussion,
is really "angry"
about about Clark County's finances and the spending crisis.

So can that attorney also
switch
"ethically and philosphically"
and get the
insurance fringe benfit paid by the taxpayers of Floyd County?
Anonymous said…
I got it!
Maybe that attorney
wrote the
'infamous letter'
that MM signed
and allegedly
"tricked"
MM?

Maybe Joe Renck 'tricked' MM?

Lots of strangeness out there as we hurl toward August 1, 2011,
and the looming
bankruptcy/ shutdown
of Clark County government!

CCC moment? You must be one of thim moronic types what I hear tell of.

Goliath genrlly like CCC. But biggest criticism was how they use to let people come on an attack people that post on personal reasons got nothing to do with the issue or topic. Moron.

Goliath like old Amber and not gonna just let somebody hack on her cause it's anonymous.

Yeah. I know. It ain't fair.

But, Goliath got very very good editorial rule what goes here. If Goliath don't like it he can take it off. ...Mr or Mrs. Anonymous!
