Feb 10- It is official,  Mike Moore who as recently as November  claimed the mantle of the Democrat Party has bolted and filed today for Mayor of Jeffersonville candidate on the Republican slate.  The Evening News today reported Moore's comment on the shocking development : Moore, who said he grew up as a Republican, said he wasn’t influenced by the crowded Democratic primary and was not switching to ride the popular party.

“That really doesn’t carry a lot of weight,” he said. “We need to get past that.”

“We put too much emphasis on party labels,” Moore said. “I am a candidate for mayor. If people want to vote for Mike Moore, they’re going to get Mike Moore. They’re not going to get a Republican or a Democrat  Goliathandwimmens invite Mr. Moore  to comment here or on the GCF to give further explanation. Update! The legal wizard initially thought that the hearing was in Circuit, but it was it the Clark County Superior Court before the Honorable Judge Jerome F. Jacobi. Attorney Larry Willder received a ruling that the city is a Second Class city. This is good news for the people who are in the annexed areas. They can both run and vote in this election and they will have both a council person for the newly created sixth district as well as three at-large candidates for which to vote.

She is an ISTA member, has been a delegate to the Democrat State Convention, holds undergraduate and advanced degrees from Indiana University, has received several state certifications including a principal's license and administrator's license, and is certified in a planning capacity. She is a life long resident of Jeffersonville whose family has been here for many generations. Even though she has not sought elective public office before, she has been keenly aware of and involved with public policy issues. She clearly understands both the benefits and the limitations of government. She very well comprehends that, especially in tough times, governments must live within their means just like families must . She understands that the distribution of government funds and resources must be closely monitored and wisely allocated. She understands the problems that occur with excessive taxation and the subsequent waste of taxpayers' resources. She has served as a principal and assistant school corporation administrator . Teresa has restored a historic property and supported economic growth in Clark County, including business, industrial, and residential development. She understands the need for the future development of our tax base to provide for a better life and better place to live for all of our citizens. Even though she is "an outsider to having run for public office before", she has networked very well and has extensive contacts. She has a reputation as being very fair and knowledgeable and very good to work with. She is charming, thorough, well prepared, unpretentious, and a hard working problem solver. She gets things done. She is accessible and she listens. Among her many responsibilities and extensive work experience is being very involved with the budgets of a $63,000,000 a year school corporation. Without going into too much detail or attempting to speak for her, this is a quick overview of her background, experience, and ability. I am sure that she will be releasing a lot more information as the campaign unfolds. You can be certain that will she not be afraid to express her ideas about issues that are important to Jeffersonville and Clark County. She will have intelligent, well thought out solutions. We is  feeling quite required to let know all and many that the MAYORAL CAnDIDATES is 
all ACTIVELY using FACE BOOK to gather up big big groups of perspective voters.  
First to Start was Mike Moore!  Then, Tom Galligan!  Now here Comes ROB WAIZ!!!


Mike Moore has 664 FB FRIENDS!!!  TOM GALLIGAN has 458 Friends  and ROB WAIZ come along with  at the rear with  93 Friends. (But he just started....he will be over 300 in No time GAW predicts). 


Then we can look at how the candidates are USING their facebook.  Rob Waiz has not made a single status update.  Maybe he's shy.   


Tom Galligan is a pretty regular poster.  He lists campaign events and invites people to join him.
Then, he makes cryptic comments like "surgery is no fun' without explaining it.  What's up with that Tommy?    


Mike Moore, is using his facebook page likewise to announce campaign events. But, mostly
it seems his supporters seem to like coming on and commenting on his wall and wishing him
well which is nice to see.

on t seems that Goliath explained it to a professor at the journalism school today that attorney Larry Wilder's request for certification of the annexation would most likely be approved unless someone (a property holder)in the annexed area challenges it. If the annexation is delayed, the annexed areas might not have to start paying city property taxes yet, but they also might not be able to vote or run for office in the city yet. It is a possible catch 22. Whose ox could be gored? LAWYER UP, the legal clock is ticking!

January 28- Rumor has it Larry Wilder, as City Attorney has done filed a 'certification
of the Newly ANNEX AREA in Circuit Court.  What this signify is that upon challenge,
all Residents of ANNEX AREA is not ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN CITY ELECTION and
the Mike MOORE CANDERDACY is in JEOPARDY!!!  Goliath receive numerous
phone calls this afternoon what the callers all hope GOLIATH PUT ON GAW. But, 
Goliath too smart for THAT!!!   However,  apparently it is true that the Certification
was filed.  Some lawyer types are busy looking to see if the ANNEXED CITIZENS will
be GRIEVOUSLY ROBBED of their VOTE RIGHTS and MOORE OF HIS CANDIDACY!

The rumor mill is heating up!
Some "totally unidentified sage" allegedly asked a trusted contact (i. e.  a  "cut out" ) to approach and determine if  888 might be interested in running for mayor.  It seems that the initials 888' of the possible candidate were  broken FIRST in a post on the inciteful GAW at the time.   The GAW gets it right and gets it first!   Only those sneaky "mysterious Internet demons" keep astealin' stuff and arunnin' off within' it!  Today the rumor is so strong that *** is thinking of bolting to the ***** party!!!  The demographics of the race make her very strong in both the spring and fall.

JAN 27- EXCLUSIVE!!! GOLIATHANDWIMMENS MAYOR Poll TAMPERED WITH!!!
Jeffersonville- On January 26 the Goliathandwimmens poll entered its waning hours.  A funny thing began to happen. Votes were REMOVED from the Count.  At one point there were well over 30 Votes and these included 3 votes for Candidate Waiz who did not have any until the last day of the poll.  At the conclusion of the Poll all these "New" votes, and MORE were somehow REMOVED from the POLL.   A mysterious event that the staff at GAW hopes to get to the bottom of.  


This manipulation renders the poll data invalid.  So Goliath declines to announce a "winner" or losers.  Sorry  to the readers and those who legitimately took part in the Poll.

GOSSIP AND RUMOR UPDATE:  It now appears that the BARB Anderson 'candidacy'  is 
not happening. However,  as noted by comment here or on the GCF (Goliath Colisseum Forum)
TERESA PERKINS is being touted or ENCOURAGED to run.   Goliath heard this EVEN FROM
BARB ANDERSON!!   However,  a certain wife of a junkyard dog Lawyer commented as follows: "She's too smart to run".    Elsewhere, on the streets we heard that AMBER SHAW was urged  to run for Mayor. However,  Goliath has it from AMBER directly,  if anything she would run for City Council but ruled that out due to current candidate.
