How old are they now??...The years certainly haven't been kind to Ms. Rippey that's for sure...They shouldn't be 40 yet but you sure can't tell it from the pictures...I suppose when you have something like that to live with, other things take a back seat.

Sad story all around.

I have to wonder how many children Shanda might have had by now? Would she have gone to college?What career might she have chosen? We will never know. We were not given the chance.

I did not know Shanda or any of her relatives. I didn't even live in the area when the crime took place. But I followed the case closely and cared deeply. I cried when I read the details. I could never even try to imagine the pain Shanda's mother went thru. I just couldn't go there. I hope she has been able to find some peace and happiness in her life.

I read one of the books on her story and just thought about all the places they took her that we have been. The Mcdonalds, the five star, and what she must have been thinking when they were doing all that to her. I think of my beautiful sweet daughter and I cannot imagine how I would cope if anything like that ever happened to her. So so sad. :( I truly believe none of those girls should have ever been set free. I hope they are haunted until their dying days.
